Royal Wood Releases 360° Video For Good To Be Young

Posted on May. 26 2016

“Ghost Light is a musical poltergeist you won’t want to exorcise” –
“Indeed, Mraz types might want to take heed –  if they’re not careful, percolating talents like Wood will steal their fans away…” – Exclaim

Today, Royal Wood brings you an innovative new video, shot in 360°, for his current single Good To Be Young. Setting up shop at the Soulpepper Theatre in Toronto, ON, Royal was joined by director Scott Brachmayer, producer Nyla Innuksuk and choreographer Theresa Di Meglio along with dancers from FAME School of Performing Arts to create a flash mob inspired video that would compliment the upbeat nature of the song. “This video was the most buoyant and free I’ve ever felt on set,” says Royal. “I think filming with the kids and being forced to dance set me free. It was pure fun.” Wood’s vision was to capture the carefree days of youth, filled with joy and happiness. Good To Be Young is the second single off of Wood’s acclaimed new album, GHOST LIGHT, released on April 22nd, 2016 with Cadence Music. Wood is currently on the road in the U.S., including a stop in Charleston, WV as part of the popular Mountain Stage national radio program with indie buzz band Lake Street Dive. He will then head over to Scotland to take part in the Gold Medal Plates festivities, before returning home for the Western leg of his tour, followed by two shows at Le Savoy du Metropolis in Montreal as part of the Jazz Festival.
